Who We Are
The Funeral Company Ltd
The Funeral Company Ltd was created in 2001 incorporating Greenacres Funeral Services and The Green Burial Company Plc, with our own burial ground in the market town of Olney, Buckinghamshire.
The company is privately owned by three business men, who wanted to provide a contemporary alternative to the traditional funeral. In addition, they were interested in the increasing awareness of bereaved families to enviromentally friendly funerals. This gave rise to the companies ethos of putting families first and creating the funeral style that most reflects the life of the deceased.
Alison Holbrook
Alison, a medically retired police officer is manager and funeral director for The Funeral Company Ltd and first started working with the companies sister company, The Olney Green Burial Ground.
Alison was promoted to trainee funeral director before taking over the company in 2006 as manager.
Alison is dedicated to helping families through what can be a very emotional and stressful time, her belief is that,
"we are there for the family and those families we help come first, we are Privileged to be asked to help in this difficult time and to be involved with the care of a loved one."
As well as giving twenty four hour help and assitance, Alisons caring and compassionate nature gives so much assurance to those grieving, leaving families safe in the knowledge that their loved one is well cared for and respected with dignity and love, regardless of age, sex and religion.
Lee Nelson
Lee is Mortuary mananager with the funeral company, having worked within the industry for a decade, working up and down the country for both independant and national directors before finally settling with The Funeral Company.
Working at The Funeral Company, Lee has the time and resources to faciliate his dedication to restorative art and prides himself on being able to offer those unfortunate families time with their deceased loved ones that would ordianarily be considered or advised to be a closed casket/coffin.
The Team
The rest of the team are both dedicated and professional and are chosen for their compassion and understanding.
Our team come from all walks of life and all have one thing in common, to provide assistance to grieving families. Their ability to work under pressure and still maintain a professional service makes them an ideal choice for our company.
